According to Limbe police station deputy spokesperson Widson Nhlane, director Alfred Kapito in December 2017, collected K169, 000.00 examination fees from 32 primary school candidates and defrauded them to have deposited to MANEB standard 8 examinations fees account.
“However, since then, all seemed to be well until on May 13,2018 when it was discovered that all the 32 students are missing on the MANEB nominal roll. The suspect failed to give convincing answers to the concerned parents hence his arrest and the candidates have failed to write this year's exams,” explained Nhlane.
The suspect according to police will appear in court soon to answer the charge of Theft which is contrary to section 278 of the penal code.
Kapito aged 45 hails from John village in Traditional Authority Kadewere in Chiradzulu district.
