DPP NGC to go through Mentorship

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has announced that all newly party National Governing Council (NGC) members will be oriented on their responsible positions.

Professor Mutharika disclosed this when he officially closed the DPP Indaba in Blantyre on Tuesday 3 July 2018. He said elected people should now focus on the ground work hence they need capacity building in their various portfolios.

 

“We are now starting ground work, for that matter we will hold a workshop for all National Governing Council members,” disclosed President Mutharika who went unopposed at the indaba.

 

He added that the party will elect committees on the ground who own the party to have vibrant campaign.

 

“Let us love one another; let us unite; let us work now; and let us respect one another,” appealed President Mutharika.

 

In his speech, President Mutharika said DPP is the party for all but he will never tolerate anyone to disturb the party. He advised those elected to be active in their various roles.

 

He also took time to tell the delegates what the ruling DPP has done in the last four years under his leadership. Besides, he announced that the party manifesto will be out soon.

 

For his part, Chairperson of the organizing committee Nicholas Dausi advised the new office bearers to be trustworthy for the betterment of the party and the nation.

 

“Be dedicated; we want you to be committed to the party,” advised Dausi.
