The allocation to the National Assembly was initially at MK8.3bn and has been revised upwards to MK8.4bn.

The vote to the national assembly was debated at length since Thursday as members thought the revised amount was not enough to cater for its operations.

Speaking in the house, the Minister of Finance  Goodal Gondwe  said the concern raised by the members were genuine and that they will consider revising the allocation as they will still be negotiating with the opposition members outside the plenary.
