On Saturday 3rd October 2015 marked 100 years since the death of Inkosi Makwangala I who died in 1915 and was laid to rest at Mbvimbo headquarters in TA Makwngwala in Ntcheu.



Makwangwala I was one of the leaders who fought against the then British colonial masters and is regarded as a hero among many Malawians.


State vice president Impi Right Honorable Dr Saulosi Chilima Biyeni led the nation in laying wreaths and later in the actual celebrations which involved dances, prayers and the exchanging of gifts.

 

Ministers, politicians, traditional and religious leaders were part of the celebrations.

Man murdered over magic sex with women

A 25-year-old man was on Sunday night assaulted to death by an angry mob after he was found naked in a woman’s house in Nathenje in Lilongwe.

 

The man was allegedly suspected of having sex with women through magic in the area.
