DPP sets convention agenda: Nominations closing on Friday

Only two items; Constitutional amendments and elections, are forming the agenda of Democratic Progress Party (DPP) National Convention slated for next Sunday through Tuesday.


According to Nicholas Dausi, who is Chairperson of the convention’s organising committee, delegates are expected to arrive at the convention venue, Comesa Hall in Blantyre, on Sunday and hold the actual convention on Monday.

“Democratic Progressive Party members who are aspiring for any position in the party should take note that the closing date for receiving nominations forms is 29th June, 2018,” said Dausi.

Dausi further announced that the Malawi Electoral Commission will preside over the elections.

Meawhile DPP has extended invitation to attend the convention to leaders of opposition political parties, civil society organisations and religious leaders.
