According to SMEDI’s Business Information Specialist, Tapiwa Nsanja, the training will help people understand challenges that affect businesses using financial management knowledge and maintenance of business profits.
“It is a very important topic. One of the areas under financial management is keeping of records. You will notice that a number of businesses in Malawi do not keep records for example keeping books such as cash book or sales book. These beneficiaries were being trained on record management so that they can track their businesses and evaluate how much they are making as a profit and how much they are incurring as expenses,’’ said Nsanja.
The training targeted 90 people drawn from Balaka, Ntcheu, Dedza and Lilongwe districts where MCA carried out development projects that seek to increase power transmission to the national grid.
