Cholera kills 9 in Karonga

At the time of our arrival at Nyungwe Health Centre in Karonga District, the health officials had just returned from the burial of an under-five child, and another body of a 35 year old man who had just died of cholera. The outbreak has hit the district the hardest in the fishing communities. The situation is aggravated by poor sanitation and hygiene facilities and practices in such places.
