DPP, UDF strengthen ties in Parliament

In a move that signals a much closer working relationship, in Parliament, between the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and United Democratic Front (UDF), the ruling party has reshuffled its seating plan just to accommodate their Yellow counterparts closer to the front benches of the governing side.


A meeting that was meant to iron out controversies in Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) has ended in blood after unknown people ascended on the party’s Campaign Director for Central Region Nicholus Kamoto.


Lilongwe City Mayor, Dr Desmond Bikoko, Fahad Assan and members from the Democratic People’s Congress (DEPECO) led by Secretary General, Smolet Kachere, have joined the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).


Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) member of Parliament (MP) for Karonga Central Constituency, Frank Tumpale Mwenifumbo, on Thursday presented his papers for the presidential race in the party.
