Kabwila has found herself in bad books with some Members of Parliament, notably; Chimwendo Banda, Amon Nkhata and Peter Dimba, for aligning herself with regional chairpersons who are accusing MCP president Lazarus Chakwela of unprofessionalism.

Sources within MCP said a meeting has been slated for Tuesday where all concerned parties including herself, will have a platform to resolve their grievances.

However, MCP Public Relations Officer Alekeni Menyani refused to comment on the matter, wondering why some officials were taking their grievances to the media instead of well-established structures within the party.

“The party has structures so why are they complaining to the media? Why not complaining to the national executive committee so that at its next meeting that issue can be tabled then resolved. Why taking such issues to a third party that has no mandate on issues happening in the party,” said Menyani.
