The Artist who is currently in school in Tanzania confirmed the development in an interview with the Malawi News Agency (MANA) on Tuesday saying the news came in when he least expected it that his music video ‘We Here’ has been approved for air play on Channel O.

“I feel grateful, 2017 looks way promising. Seems like all the hard work and planning fell in place. The patience of making quality music is finally paying off. I am very happy that finally our work is being recognized internationally,” said Haso.

According to the rapper, Malawi Hip Hop has got a spot on major music platforms and it was only necessary to continue taking Malawi Rap Music international.

A letter from Channel O addressed to the artist and made available to MANA reads; after having viewed your music and passing our quality control, your music has been selected to feature on our playlist and we will be scheduling it in the near future. Keep watching Channel O to see your music video and we thank you for contributing and we hope to hear from you again in the near future.”

The music video ‘We Here’ was produced by Manje (Emmanuel Namanja) and he has just released a new single titled “Get Paid” on 6th February 2017.

Among other notable artists whose music videos have made it to Channel O from Malaiwi are; Tay Grin and Young Kay.
