BlakJak, born Fatsani Kalonda, is one of the leading dancehall artists in Malawi well known for his creative lyricism and performances.
He was a member of the once dominant music group, Nyasa Gurus and released his debut solo album last year.
Limbani Mulolo, known as MwanaChe in the music circles, is a fast rising Lilongwe based Hip hop artists well known for his thought-provoking lyrics and is often called “Malawi’s fastest rapper” by his admirers.
On signing to Prime Time Media, BlakJak said the move would take his music to greater heights
“It's another step in my music career and a very important way to go as far as taking urban music to a different level is concerned. I am very happy that this move has come to life. My plan for now will be to make new music with a different focus without losing the identity and shoot music videos. The rest will be surprises, Blakjak said.”
MwanaChe on the other hand said he was happy to be part of the family.
“I feel so great, and I am honoured to be part of this team. I am happy to be recognized as one the artists who's got effort and the drive to make it. My plans are to do big things, bring change as far as music is concerned.”
The CEO of Prime Time Media, Edward Kankhomba also shares his views on the two new artists under his firm.
“We are excited to add MwanaChe and Blakjak to our pool of talented artists. We are confident that companies and organizations will take advantage of these two artists and use them to promote their brands and push their promotion campaigns further.”
However Prime Time did not elaborate what is entailed in the deal.
But the two artists are currently working on projects which will be released soon under Prime Time Media.
