Managing Director for Superior Events Management, Japhet Majekete revealed to Malawi News Agency (Mana) in an interview on Wednesday that all is set for the theatre and music festival to be hosted.
“All is in place to host the big festival of theatre and music and it is a starter pack for our different events which we always organize,” said Majekete.
He added that, last year they hosted superior theatre competition whose finals would run on May 26, 2018 in Lilongwe.
The Director also said the theatre and music festival is a step in preparing for the finals of superior theatre competition noting that the festival is intended to give a feeling to the patrons to attend the finals of superior theatre competition.
The event is scheduled to be spiced up by different activities which will include live performances by Blantyre based actors; Young Travellers Theatre, Logos Theatre, Mr. Jokes and also Lilongwe based legendary choir, the Great Angels choir, the trio Marvelous Deeds and Umoja Theatre.
Majekete is confident that theatre and music festival will be the best of its kind as it will feature entertainment giants in theatre and also in music.
“I am sure that the event will be great as we have invited big names in theatre and music to perform live and this will make the patrons not to be disappointed,” Majekete explained.
He urged the general public to purchase their tickets before the day of the event noting that only limited space is available.
He also thanked their partners; Pulora Cooking Oil producers, Osman Foods and Soyola of Mt Meru Millers Limited for supporting theatre and music festival.
Osman Foods Marketing Manager, Amor Kandoje told Mana that their company thought it wise to work with superior events management as their duty is to promote good health among people in the country including actors and musicians.
“Our company believes in promoting good health among people, so we took it as an advantage to work with superior events management bearing in mind that they play important role in exposing the talent among the youth in the country as well as entertaining people with different events,” said Kandoje.
Sales and Marketing Director of Pulora Cooking Oil, Charles Zinyawo said their company believes in working with organizations which expose talent through events.
“The aim of our company is to help boost talent of the youth and after hearing that Superior Events Management is organizing theatre and music festival, we thought it wise to come in and support them,” said Zinyawo.
