UNDP in a drive to fight climate change

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) says it will continue working with government to ensure food security to livelihoods affected by disasters in the country.


 The UN Resident Coordinator for Malawi, Ms Maria Jose Torres, has said The Assignment Termination Report: “Support to MEC poll Results Tallying-Report of Factual Findings on the Verification of the Processing and Transmission of Malawi Elections Results,” “is with MEC.”


Uladi Mussa, Special Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs to President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, has resigned from his post three months after his appointment, the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) announced Monday.

The OPC did not give reason for Mussa’s stepping down.


The Council for Non-Governmental Organizations (Congoma)—the umbrella body of NGOs—has welcomed the news by Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) that they have suspended demos which in the past have turned ugly and destructive, “to give Malawians a chance to properly follow the case in court.”
