Information, Civic Education and Communications Technology Minister Mark Botomani says Malawi is extremely happy with the official endorsement by the US Government of the "successful" election won by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.


Up to 68 looters involved in a spate of violent protests from several districts have been nabbed and will answer various charges soon in court as individuals, Malawi Police Service (MPS) said on Sunday.


 Information Minister Mark Botomani on Saturday said President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika was deeply saddened with the sudden death of MBC journalist Ackim Kaingana, who died on Friday morning after he collapsed at home.
