Speaking with MBC, Chancellor of the University, Reverend John Gondwe who is also moderator of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia, said they have purchased old Viphya Private Secondary school premises in Mzuzu and by April this year, the Mzuzu Campus of the university will be
operational.

“The University of Livingstonia has purchased the old Viphya private secondary school premises at 425 million Kwacha. We plan to introduce courses in agriculture, business, accounting and many others,” said Gondwe.

The CCAP Synod of Livingstonia under which the University of Livingstonia was established appreciated the Government of Malawi for supporting the institution in several ways.

“We got an 800 million Kwacha grant from the Malawi Government to construct hostels at our Laws campus in Livingstonia. Aside that, our staff have also been benefiting from MEDEF loans and we appreciate government for the support”, said Gondwe.

This means, the University of Livingstonia will now have three campuses, Laws at Livingstonia at Khondowe Mission in Rumphi, the Ekwendeni campus in Mzimba and the Mzuzu City Campus.

UNILIA also has a vast land at Lusangazi; where the chancellor of the university highlights that it will be used as a practical site for various courses the university is offering.
