Dr Chilima made the remarks when he toured the road and construction progress of the Mbelwa office complex before he held a quarterly reform meeting.
During the visit, It was observed that the construction works of the much anticipated 97 kilometres Jenda-Edingeni Manyamula- Mzimba Road have temporarily stopped due to the delay of payments by the Government which has resulted in the suspension of works by the contractor.
Responding to this development, the Vice President said the Government remains committed to making sure that all projects in the country are completed.
He said he will engage with the treasury to map the way forward on the matter.
Later in the day, Dr Chilima visited the construction works of the Mbelwa District Council office complex, where it was also noted that due to funding issues the project has also delayed.
The Vice President winded up his visit in Mzimba with an indoor meeting with officials from Mbelwa District Council to review and taking stock of the impact of service delivery, efficiency and effectiveness that the reforms have made so far.
