As the Islamic holy month of Ramadhan is coming to an end this weekend, Muslims in Malawi have emphasised on the need for a meaningful co-existence with their Christian counterparts, if the country is to continue enjoying peace.

Former Nigerian president General Olusegun Obasanjo is in Malawi on a trade and investment mission.

President Peter Mutharika has dissolved the University of Malawi Council, with immediate effect. According to Presidential Press Secretary and Spokesperson Mgeme Kalilani, the reconstitution of the council will be announced soon.
