1. Legal and Compliance Manager
 
Job Purpose
 
To provide advisory, representation, drafting and compliance services to ensure optimal level of compliance and risk management across the Corporation.
 
Main Duties
 
a) Considers the implications of contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements 
and undertake compliance monitoring procedures as necessary in the fulfilment of these compliance requirements; 
 
b) Documents and disseminates procedures to promote contractual, legislative and regulatory compliance; 
 
c) Assesses the impact of legislative changes on the corporation, and ensures the Corporation’s directorates are fully informed; 
 
d) Supports the compliance process of all existing and prospective contracts, including performing legal audits; 
 
e) Participates in crisis planning and training and ensures optimum Corporation continuity and risk management; 
 
f) Participates in and potentially leads internal investigations;
 
g) Maintains all compliance registers including but not limited to a conflict of interest register of gifts, Legal & Compliance register as well as a Risk register. 
 
h) Conducts legal and governance projects as required, and staff support and training;
 
i) Provides clear advice to management on contractual and legislative requirements; 
and 
 
j) Ensures optimal level of compliance and risk management across the Corporation’s Insurances. 
 
Minimum Requirements
 
• At least a Masters/ Bachelor’s Degree in Legal and Compliance or any other relevant legal qualification
 
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional Legal and Compliance capacity
 
• Possession of a valid legal practitioner’s licence 
 
• Strong organisational skills, versatility, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
 
• Problem-solving, personal accountability & results-oriented;
 
• Professionalism, integrity and innovative;
 
• Strong analytical skills;
 
• Mature and a good communicator with adequate negotiating skills; and
 
2. Information and Communication Technology Manager
 
Job Purpose
 
To support and manage the Information and Communication Technology infrastructure 
of the Corporation.
 
Main Duties 
 
1) Monitors computer systems and networks;
 
2) Manages the roll-out of new applications;
 
3) Controls software licensing;
 
4) Prioritizes IT needs in each financial year;
 
5) Ensures data and network security;
 
6) Provides technical and operational advice to Management;
 
7) Formulates specific IT projects and development of long-term IT strategies;
 
8) Ensures an efficient and effective email and internet access;
 
9) Reviews the design and maintenance of the MBC website;
 
10) Consolidates sectional budget and work plan;
 
11) Oversees and ensures the success of data entry, storage, processing and retrieval;
 
12) Advises management on technological changes in the computer market;
 
13) Monitors the design and implementation of training programmes for computer users;
 
14) Monitors maintenance of IT equipment and facilities database;
 
15) Consolidates quarterly reports on the status performance of all computers and 
its accessories; and
 
16) Appraises performance of the ICT Officer.
 
Minimum Requirements
 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computing or Computer Science, Information & Communication Technology, or Information Systems, Information Management;
 
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
 
• Relationship building & maintenance;
 
• People management, team player & change Agent;
 
• Good organisational skills, able to meet deadlines; & work under pressure;
 
• Resilience & proactive;
 
• Problem-solving, personal accountability & results-oriented;
 
• Professionalism, integrity and innovative
 
• Strong analytical skills;
 
• Ability to work as a team member with leadership skills for coaching and developing employees.
