Gama in an Accident, admitted at Mwaiwathu.

Rev Billy Gama of the CCAP Blantyre synod, who is also Chairperson of the Lilongwe Water Board, was injured in an accident which occurred at Mikolongwe around Malowa area in Chiradzulu district.


According to our reporter Mayeso Chikhadzula who spoke to an eye witnesses, Rev Gamas`s vehicle a red Nissan Xtrail overturned twice leaving the driver Hudson Idan with an open fracture on his right leg.

The Rev Billy Gama was rushed to Nguludi Mission Hospital where he was referred to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.

According to his close associate, Leston Mulli, the Mulanje mission moderator suffered head injuries and was bleeding internally.

Information on how the accident occurred is still sketchy as police were still investigating the issue but Mulli said Rev Gama was travelling from a funeral service in Blantyre to Mulanje on Wednesday when the accident occurred.

He is currently been admitted at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre.
