AGCOM is a flagship project aimed to transform smallholder agriculture from mostly subsistence to commercial.
"What we are beginning today is a revolution in agriculture in Malawi. We will train people with skills for value addition to their produce. And we will make sure that people have good storage systems.
"We will provide cold-rooms to farming communities across the country so that they can store their produce there. I want every community to have the capacity to use their own land to increase productivity and add value to their produce," the President said.
GAME CHANGER PROJECT
Describing the project as a "game changer," the Malawi leader said the US$ 95 million will be invested into the project over a period of six years.

"Let us remember. Our collective vision is to transform Malawi from being an importing and consuming country to become a producing and exporting country. Why do we want to make Malawi a producing and exporting country?
