“I can confirm to you that we have him [Chisale] in our custody in Lilongwe,” James Kadadzera, Malawi Police spokesperson told MBC.
He said police was still investigating the matter, which Chisale was being questioned on and would issue more details later.
“Police always interview individuals when doing investigations and this is what is being done. when the information is ripe, Malawians will be informed through the media. As of now, it is premature for me to give out more details for fear of jeorpadising the investigations,” explained Kadadzera.
However, media reports are indicating that Chisale has been picked in connection with the importation of hundreds of thousands of cement duty free.
