Forward Khumbo Ng’ambi's hat-trick enabled Mighty Be Forward Wanderers to keep their good in run the Airtel Top 8 Cup when they came from behind to claim a 3-2 win over Moyale Barracks in a thrilling semifinal encounter at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.


Nyasa Big Bullets have exited the Airtel Top 8 Cup after failing to upset the first leg 0-1 away defeat when they were restricted to a barren draw by Silver Strikers in the quarterfinal second leg encounter played at Mulanje Park Stadium on Sunday.


Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, Moyale Barracks and Kamuzu Barracks have sailed through to the semifinals of the 2017 Airtel Top 8 Cup after roasting their opponents.


The battle for the inaugural Airtel Top 8 Cup's semifinal slots continues this weekend with Nyasa Big Bullets and Azam Tigers promising to upset the quarterfinal first leg 0-1 and 2-0 defeats to Silver Strikers and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, respectively.
