The Guest of Honour during the awards ceremony, Rev Dr Billy Gama who is the Board Chairperson of MBC said staff motivation leads to positive results at any organization or company. He further encouraged MBC staff members to continue working hard.
“As Board, we will continue providing the much needed support to the Corporation,” said Rev Gama.
“The initiative is very important and I salute the Director General Aubrey Sumbuleta and the entire Management, when workers are motivated they always deliver their best,” he added.
For his part, MBC Controller of News and Online Services Vincent Khonyongwa said since the inception in 2015 the quarterly awards by the institution have resulted to best service delivery from employees.
“The initiative is meeting its purpose of motivating employees. Members of staff are now outstanding in their story writing, and all other areas of the institution,” said Khonyongwa.
Expressing her excitement, one of the winners Idah Khan said the recognition by the institution will make her work extra hard.
“This just shows that when you are working to the best, the bosses see and honour you. I will continue to be a dedicated member of staff,” said Khan.
Chimwemwe Milulu, Litness Chaima, Hassan Phiri, Edith Kaira, Doreen Sonani, were among the winners during the ceremony.
