Speaking at a stakeholders meeting organized by Nyika Vwaza Association, Parks and Wildlife officer Andrew Kataya, said poaching has greatly affected the country’s revenue flow.
He added that when tourists come into the affected protected areas, they do not find the desired species they want to see, hence they go to neighbouring countries like Zambia and this is making government lose revenue.
In response to this, first grade magistrate for Rumphi, Cuthbert Phiri warned that the law will not spare anybody caught in the act.
