Eye Witnesses say the bus lost control of brakes while descending Chiweta which forced the driver to direct it to a wall of the hill.

They added that when the bus hit the wall it stopped and every person on board survived to what they termed would have been a serious fatal accident.

The Bus, registration number AXA 28, was traveling from Mzuzu to Chitipa via Karonga.

Some five years ago a similar accident occurred in Chiweta involving Kumwenda`s Bus claiming more than 22 lives after developing brake failure.
