Speaking during the form 4 graduation ceremony at Likudzi Community Day Secondary School in Ntcheu, DSF Executive Director Charles Kabena who was guest of honor at the event said the foundation realizes that the society needs educated people to grow. He added that at Likudzi alone, the foundation currently pays school fees for eight students and there are plans to add other 20 students.
“Education transforms life; our goal is to make sure that children are in school. We need to help these future leaders. School matters at so many levels and can lay the foundation for a successful life,” said Kabena appealing to the outgoing form 4 students to make a difference in their respective societies.
He however commended the government for introducing technical colleges in the country hence appealed to the outgoing students to make use of the colleges to acquire different skills as they wait for exam results.
For his part, Head Teacher at the Likudzi CDSS Fred Maduka thanked DSF for helping students at the school. On graduation, he said 79 students at the school are expected to write MSCE this year. Maduka however advised the form 4 candidates to prepare well as the school has done its part.
“Avoid cheating, follow the exam rules. As teachers, we have done our part, you have all it takes to make us proud,” advised Maduka.
