Minister of industry and trade Joseph Mwanamvekha said the coming in of investors speaks volumes of the effectiveness of the 2015 Malawi Investment forum.

He said both the compendium and the investors forum has made it easier for investors to bring their monies to Malawi.

“We are very happy because when we set on the journey to bring change to the country’s economy we were been doubted, this is the year when Malawians will see the fruits of all the efforts we have been investing in the sector.” said Mwanakha.

He said government is making everything possible that the economic landscape benefits both small enterprise business persons and big entrepreneurs.

“We will have talks this year with relevant authorities so that interest rates which have been choking investments goes down.” he added.
