Minister of Transport and Public Works Jappie Mhango made the remarks during a political rally that he addressed at Kafola in Chitipa District.

Mhango says various development projects that government continues to carry out in Chitipa and other districts in the country show the commitment that government has to develop the country.

“You have seen for yourselves construction of the bridges, the Kasama Technical Centre and water and electricity projects that have been done here,” he said.

In support of the minister’s remarks, DPP Deputy Director of Youths in the North, Philemon Ntambo said the construction of Kasama Technical Centre will help promote skills development and entrepreneurship among the youth in the district.

‘All these projects can tell the future of the party and I don’t doubt in that the party will sail through,’ Ntambo added.

Government is expected to start upgrading of the Chitipa-Tunduma Road to bitumen standard soon.
