According to a statement by Pencils PR, the video will be shot by South Africa’s innovative production company, Pilot Films, and will focus on a well-blended fusion of Malawi and Nigerian culture which the superstar rapper Nyau King believes will be out of this world.

“Fans should expect a festive video, loads of color and fun. Beautiful scenes and an award winning video that will put Malawi music on the map,” says the Malawian celebrity rapper/entrepreneur.

‘Chipapapa’, produced by renowned Malawian producer DJ Sley, came out on 5 February and became an instant hit, enjoyed by all generations across Malawi and many countries in the Southern, Eastern and Western Africa.

With the video expected to be released next month, Tay Grin believes it will be a game changer as he eyes several award nominations this year, saying “We are about to put Malawi on the table with the big boys of music. 2016 is the year Malawi shines.”

“I anticipate various award nominations and I expect Malawians to support the video once it's out. ‘Chipapapa’ was a game we all played as youngsters, so this is our song and together we should make history.”

Apart from this project, Tay Grin is also working on new material with continental and Malawian music heavyweights for his next album.

From Johannesburg, the Malawian hip-hop icon is expected to perform at Chancellor College on 4 March, alongside the Black Missionaries and Skeffa Chimoto.

He will then head to the United Kingdom where he is billed to perform with UK X Factor finalists Reggie ‘N’ Bollie on April 1 at the Aston Villa Football Ground in Birmingham. This will be a red carpet event to mark the official launch of Tee Mak Designer.
