“We are launching our new play in first week of May and the play is called Aneneri written by Billy Kaunda and our producer Charles Mphoka panel beat it”, said Mabedi.
Aneneri comes when the group clocks 35 years of existence in the country.
Apart from Aneneri the group has been releasing other notable plays such as Kulira kwa Ana which has just launched last year.
Mabedi promised their fans to expect more good dramas from Kwathu.
“Having turned 35 years this year we need to give more to Malawians and so people should expect more from us”, said Mabedi. Mabedi though did not reveal the content in the play, but he thanked Billy Kaunda for coming up with a desirable work.
“We are very grateful working with him since he has helped us through writing a nice script for a play. This does not mean that Billy Kaunda has joined Kwathu Drama Group but he has just written a play for us”, explained Mabedi.
