Security has been tightened at Blantyre social welfare offices where xenophobia victims repatriated by government are to be accommodated upon arrival Monday.
The consumer Body Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA) has appealed to Malawians to boycott buying from South African based shops as a response to xenophobic attacks currently taking place in the rainbow nation.
The number of Malawians affected by xenophobic attacks in South Africa has risen from 420 to 1030.
Malawi President Peter Mutharika and his Gabonese counterpart, Ali Bongo Ondimba are on 22nd April 2015 set tobe awarded by the International Congressional Conservation Foundation (ICCF) for their commitments on issues of conservation and development in Africa.
