Government through the Ministry of Labour and Manpower Development has called on well wishers and Malawians at large to support the community techinical colleges project calling it key to the country's development.

The government of Brazil has pledged its continued support in a number of social programmes in a number of African countries it is cooperating with citing the home grown school feeding projects.

President Professor Peter Mutharika has called on Malawians to renew their pledge by uniting and working together in addressing challenges currently facing the country so that Malawi becomes a better place to live for all.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development says Malawi and other Sub Saharan countries are failing to maximise cassava production due to two viral diseases; cassava mosaic and cassava brown streak.
