The Malawi Electoral Commission MEC has expressed fear of voters shying away from participating in the forth coming by-elections scheduled for August 2015.

The council for Non Governmental Organizations in Malawi (CONGOMA) has hailed the decision by the state President Professor Arthur Mutharika to suspend the sale of the government owned Malawi Savings Bank saying the move has displayed high levels of leadership.

Various Civil Society Organizations have praised the Democratic Progressive Party-DPP’s one year governance.

The country’s governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has appealed for tolerance and unity among its members for the party to remain strong.
