Former Malawi President Dr Joyce Banda has failed to return home despite various announcements by her officials that she would be in the country by the 31 May. 

Opposition members of parliament have been cautioned to follow proper procedures when inviting the state president in the August House which is underway in the Capital Lilongwe.

Various heads of departments have started appearing before parliamentary committees for their budget input.

The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) of the Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) has appealed to members of Malawi Parliament especially those from the Catholic Church to condemn anything which is unjust to the society in the course of deliberations.
