The Nomads, who engaged the services of Nigerian striker Amos Bello and Japanese Forward Genki Nakamura at the beginning of 2016 TNM Super League, have alreday received International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for the two players.
Wanderers General Secretary, Mike Butao said the club was in the process of completing the transfers of two players from the West African nation.
Butao said the two players will join Wanderers from Lagos Athletico on loan for the rest of the season.
“We have signed a striker and a winger. They are quality players and they play for Nigeria Under-23 national team,” Butao said.
According to Butao, the striker in question was on loan at one of the Qatar clubs recently.
While MTV Max Bullets were chasing for signatures of three Nigerian players and the club's officails were running around with papers to conclude the deal.
The team’s sponsor Elvis Nserebo said they had already agreed terms with the Nigerian players.
“The deals for two players are almost done. We are still waiting to complete the other deals. The idea is to strengthen the side to avoid relegation trap. We feel international players will help us achieve our goal,” he said.
Nomads have been struggling in the first round having finished on position seven with 24 points whereas Max are stuck at the bottom of the log table with seven points from 15 games.
