Umodzi Park hosted the golfers at Blantyre Sports Club as routine engagements with its clients and other business stakeholders

Charles Makamo won the championship in men’s category while Jarson Pereira came second and Furkaan Gani finished third.

In ladies’ category, Blantyre based golfer Diana Likambale came first followed by Stella Hara.

“I enjoyed the tournament and I’m happy with the prizes as I am a regular customer of Umodzi Park,” said Likambale.

Umodzi Park General Manager David Church Mih said the company was satisfied with the response it received from the golfers in Blantyre.

“We are very excited to host our clients here in Blantyre. The tournament provided us a platform to interact with our individual customers as well as business people,” said Mih.

Mih said Umodzi Park has been a long-time partner of the golfing community in the country through the support to golf tournaments among others.

The Friday’s tournament attracted a field of 51 golfers. The winners received vouchers for accommodation and dinner for two people at Umodzi Park.
