Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs at Malawi Revenue Authority, Steven Kapoloma said the development follows a sensitization campaign that MRA has been carrying out with chiefs and people residing along border posts.

Kapoloma said apart from engaging the chiefs and people, MRA had also intensified patrols in all unchartered routes that traders were using.

“We would like to urge all companies and individuals to report all business persons invading taxes to their offices, because it is every citizen had a responsibility to pay tax.” He said.
