 7′ – Namibia have packed midfield in what appears like a 3-5-2 system whereas Mauritius have deployed 4-4-2. While attacking and defending in numbers, they are being exposed on the counter-attack.

 10′ – Namibia striker Keimuine tumbles in Mauritius box but the referee waves play on.

 38′ – Shitembi should have done better when meeting a ball from the left, but his first touch was too heavy and he lost the ball which rolled out. Namibia wastes another open chance as Keimuine’s attempt gets blocked by on rushing Mauritius keeper Caserne.

 44′ – Veeranah’s free-kick comes to nothing as the ball is pumped aimlessly forward. Three minutes added to the first half.

 45′ – Yellow card for Calambe of Mauritius.

 HALFTIME: Namibia deservedly lead but should have had more goals, while Mauritius have offered little going forward. They need a vast improvement in the second period.

 FULLTIME – Game over. Convincing, but wasteful Namibia beat 10-man Mauritius only 2-0 and now face a showdown for top spot with Zimbabwe on Thursday.
