Written by  Sam Phiri

Parliament on thursday resolved that whenever need arise, Admarc should be allowed to borrow money from commercial banks for purposes of purchasing maize and other crops.

This follows the passing of a private members motion moved by the Member of Parliament for Dedza East Juliana Lunguzi.

She said she was aware that for this year government had already provided for the funds and the need for Admarc to borrow the money doesn't arise this year.

Seconding the motion the Member of Parliament for Salima central Felix Jumbe said the motion has been necessitated to assist whenever government is not in a position to provide Admarc with the funds.

Meanwhile the finance minister Goodall Gondwe is today 22nd May 22, 2015 expected to deliver to parliament the 2015 /2016 national budget statement at 2 oclock this afternoon.
