According to Paul Malimwe who is Deputy Public Relations Officer at Nkhotakota police station, on Wednesday May 24, 2017 during night, police officers at Mkaika police unit in the district mounted a snap roadblock.
“While there, came the suspect and suspiciously police stopped him in order to conduct a search in the bag he was carrying, surprisingly, he outpaced without responding. Soon after, he started running and after the chase the police apprehended him and found Chamba in his traveling bag,” explained Malimwe.
He said the suspect has been charged with illegal possession if cannabis sativa without license.
