Chirwa said such ties had led to the provision of resources towards implementation of strategic programmes designed to promote the welfare of the citizenry.

The DC made the remarks when she handed over various items including a vehicle to agriculture extension development coordinators and agriculture extension development officers at a ceremony held at the Boma.

Chirwa said the items were procured by government with resources from Sustainable Agriculture Production Programme and Agriculture Sector Wide Approach programmes which were launched to promote food security and agriculture- led economic growth.
