Democratic Progressive Party-DPP National Campaign Director Jappie Mhango has said the party was ready to continue developing all parts of the country regardless of political affiliation.

Addressing a political rally at Chizungu Primary School ground in Mzimba Hola constituency, Mhango who is also Deputy Minster if Defence, cited the construction of the Nkhata-Bay District Hospital and the Njakwa Livingstonia-Chitimba Road as some of the major projects under the DPP era.

 

“The DPP administration has lined up a number of development projects including the Njakwa Livingstonia-Chitimba Road which has been there time in memorial,” Said Mhango. All this shows the DPP’s commitment in developing the country,” Mhango said.

 

Mhango said as a development conscious party the DPP would ensure the country is fully developed.

 

“The Mtharika administration is geared at coming up with various development projects as one way of making sure every corner of the country is fully developed,” he said


During the meeting DPP Regional Governor for the North Keneth Sanga warned against corruption in the administration and selection of beneficiaries in the Cement Malata programme.

 

“The programme is meant for the less privileged, hence we will require transparency at every step,” warned Sanga. Adding that: “the DPP administration will not allow politics to interfere in the process.”

 

During the meeting former parliamentarian for the area Henry Mumba who was also the country’s Deputy Ambassador to China observed that the area is lacking behind in terms of development.

 

“Our area has lagged in terms of development, so as a son of the area, I will try to push for more developments in the area,” Mumba said.

The area is now under People’s Party MP Rev Christopher Mzomera Ngwira.
