Confirming the development, Dedza Police Public Relations Officer Edward Kabango told MBC that the deceased hanged himself to a Mango tree after noting that the news that he slept with his 16 year old daughter as a ritual to get rich had broke out.

He is said to have left behind a note citing that he was afraid of the police.

Post-mortem results from Dedza district hospital revealed that the deceased died due to suffocation. Kabango identified the deceased as Wilibesi Kafansiyanji of Thundu village in the area of traditional Authority Kasumbu in the district.
