Speaking at Chikonde in Neno district, Chilima promised to come up with new agriculture technologies which will enable farmers to harvest more yields on a small piece of land.
Once voted into power the UTM leader said his administration will construct good roads, boarding schools and other social amenities; adding that he will remove water and electricity connection fees.
On social responsibility, Chilima encouraged people in Neno to take part in a tree planting exercise as one way of conserving the environment. He promised to economically empower the communities with loans for them to engage in various businesses.
The UTM leader asked voters to vote for him as president and Joyce Kachale as parliamentarian for Neno North.
Chilima conducted whistle stops at Zalewa, Neno Turn-off, Magaleta, Kudembo, Ligowe and Chikonde ground.
