Madam Mutharika was speaking in Mulanje when she laid a foundation stone for the construction of two girls hostels at Khwalala Community Day Secondary School.

The hostels will be constructed by Plan Malawi in conjunction with BEAM Trust.

The First Lady said the hostels will help to protect girls from challenges they were facing when going to school.
