For the past three weeks the drink has not been on the market, a situation which has sent people’s tongue wagging as to what Southern bottlers Limited (SOBO) are up to.
But SOBO`s senior Brands Manager Titha Mbilidzi acknowledged the problem and attributed it to the routine maintenance works the company carried on its machines.

She, however, dismissed allegations from the general public that the scarcity of the product is a deliberate move to finish the stock of other SOBO brands that are not liked much by customers as compared to orange and pineapple squash.
“We scheduled that the maintenance work will take for two weeks but other unforeseen circumstances elongated the works further,” Mbilidzi told MBC online.
Mbilidzi said the company finalized the maintenance works on the machines last week and the product might be back on the market by next week.
According to MBC on line’s spot checks showed that Sobo orange squash was the first to vanish from the shelves followed by Pineapple, Raspberry, Passion fruit and others.
