Godwa, who until his appointment was a mouthpiece for Police in the Southern Region, will be replaced by Beatrice Mikuwa.
Speaking to MBC online this morning both Gondwa and Mikuwa expressed their gratitude over the appointments.
Gondwa who will deputize Rhoda Manjolo at the Police headquarters in Area 30 in Lilongwe district replaces Mable Msefula.
Gondwa has held the position for 3 years to and holds a rank of a senior superintendent.
