The Parliamentary Conservation Caucus says despite the country having a new legislation to help combat wildlife crimes, there is poor enforcement of the law fueling corruption and increased illicit trafficking of wildlife and forestry products.

At least 123 learners at Katoto Primary school in the city of Mzuzu are using a single toilet. This is against government recommendation which stipulates that one toilet can safely be used by 25 learners. This was reviewed when Grand Palace Hotel handed over toilets to school.

Blantyre District Health Office has rolled out a campaign to vaccinate children born between January 2016 and September 2018 against polio. The campaign is targeting over 1.8 million children and will run for five days countrywide.
