In a statement by ACB's senior public relations officer Egrita Ndala, the bureau summoned Mpinganjira to their office in Blantyre for a cautionary statement following investigations that the bureau instituted after receiving complaints on the alleged bribery of the judges.

The statement says Mpinganjira will soon appear before court after recording of the statement.

ACB Director Reyneck Matemba told MBC last week that the Bureau received 5 complaints from the Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda  and some political parties alleging that some individuals made attempts to bribe the 5 judges handling the presidential election case.
