Technical Director Robin Alufandika disclosed that the team would go on the market after the transfer market opens to beef up their goalkeeping, defending and midfield departments.
Alufandika said the team would like to consolidate the second position achieved after the TNM Super League first round recess.
“We are going to go on the market and see whether we can manage to get two or three players to beef up the team because this year we badly want to win the championship,” Alufandika said.
“We will be looking for one goalkeeper, one defender and possibly one midfielder.”
The players have already been spotted by the Alufandika decline to give their particulars.
In a related development Tigers chairperson Sydney Chikoti applauded the team for finishing on second position in the first round having lost five key to players to other teams.
“It wasn’t easy as you aware that we lost five key players and the coming in of a new coach Gerald Phiri obviously one would not expect immediate results,” Phiri said.
He said they would also take advantage to review the squad.
“We have an agenda to build a new team. We will take stock during short time recess together with our technical panel led by Alufandika will try to look at the pace we started,” he said.
